Lennon to swap Celtic for Boro and Strachan?
Celtic coach Neil Lennon has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough to link-up with former boss Gordon Strachan.
Strachan, who has been out of the game since leaving Celtic at the end of last season, is expected to be announced as Boro's new boss later today following the sacking of Gareth Southgate earlier in the week.
According to the Scottish Daily Express, Strachan wants to recruit Lennon and former Celtic assistant boss Garry Pendrey. The smart money suggests Lennon would agree to the switch, which would not be too surprising given Tony Mowbray brought his own back-room staff to Parkhead.
Although Boro are currently managerless and there is a sense of apathy about the club, they are just one-point off the top of the English Championship and have a good chance of bouncing straight back into the Premier League.
Whether Strachan can re-establish himself as a decent manager remains to be seen, but it will certainly be interesting to see how he copes at a club where those who are meant to manage the team are actually allowed to manage the team...
