Clubs vote against Rangers

Crisis club Rangers have been refused admission into the Scottish Premier League next season.

"SPL clubs today voted overwhelmingly to reject the application from Rangers newco to join the SPL" - SPL statement
That follows SPL clubs assembling to decide whether Rangers' 'newco' should be allowed to replace Glasgow Rangers in the top-flight. However, they "voted overwhelmingly" against the proposal.

"At today's General Meeting, SPL clubs today voted overwhelmingly to reject the application from Rangers newco to join the SPL," a statement from the SPL read.

Either relegated Dunfermline Athletic or first division runners-up Dundee will replace Rangers, who must now try and find a division of the Scottish Football League to actually accept them.

Eleven out of the thirty clubs have already indicated their opposition to Rangers entering Division One, with a vote scheduled to take place next week.

This delay from the SFA using scare tactics is shameful. They need to apply to the Third tier and that should be that!

Let's not kid ourselves or anyone else on here. Rangers were refused entry to the SPL not because they were liquidated. They were refused entry because they were corrupt. They cost every team they played against hard cash. In many cases, like Celtic, potentially millions of pounds. They stole from every team. They were corrupt to the core, and worse still, there is mo way on God's earth that the SFA were not aware of this corruption. This is even more evident today as we watch them scramble to keep rangers newco in as high a league as possible. They are and have been for some time now, using scare tactics to convince others that the corrupt team formerly known as glasgow rangers are a necessity in our game. The actions by people like ogilvie and doncaster are extremely shameful. This said, oglivie has certainly lay low since the exposure of the now clearly illegal and illicit EBT scheme which he himself benefitted from. The team formerly known as glasgow rangers were corrupt and this alone is what angered all SPL clubs, clubs who have suffered because of their stealing and corruption. Don't blame administration. It was only a consequence of the real root cause. Corruption.
