Scots call for Commons

Scots call for Commons

Celtic forward Kris Commons has been added to the Scotland squad after attacking pair Jordan Rhodes and Robert Snodgrass both withdrew through injury.

The Scots face World Cup qualifiers in Wales on Friday and then Belgium next Tuesday having already drawn their first couple of games.

Commons hasn't actually represented his country for more than twelve months but ankle injuries to both Rhodes and Snodgrass, together
with an earlier groin strain to Blackburn Rovers' Grant Hanley, have rather weakened their options, particularly with striker Steven
Naismith already suspended for both games.

The 29-year-old former Derby County man has made nine previous appearances and scored twice at international level, and thus joins
team-mates Scott Brown, Charlie Mulgrew and James Forrest in the squad.

Never in a million years should Kris Commons have accepted this call. Levein is desparate to save his ass. Commons should have told him to get stuffed and the next Scotland manager would call on him anyway. After all, the puppet called levein will be fired soon anyway.
