Celtic chase their 'crowning glory'

Defeating the imposing might of Barcelona would prove the crowning moment in Celtic's 125th anniversary celebrations, according to manager Neil Lennon.

"This would be the crowning glory in that year" - Neil Lennon
The Scottish Champions take on the Catalan side in their latest Group G encounter at Celtic Park on Wednesday evening.

Barcelona currently lead the group by as many as five points and know that even a draw would be sufficient to guarantee their progress into the knockout stages.

But Celtic are the next best placed club and still have a couple of home games to come, including this latest one.

"Today is our anniversary and something we are very proud of," Lennon told Celtic's official website on the eve of the contest. "Tomorrow night will be a special evening with all the ingredients of - one being in the Champions League, two playing arguably the best team in the world and three the anniversary of our club.

"It's a pivotal year for us and a year of celebration," he added. "This would be the crowning glory in that year."
