Striker leading by example

Celtic's young defender Marcus Fraser says watching the rapid progress of teenage striker Tony Watt is proving a real inspiration to him.

"He has shown what young players can achieve" - Marcus Fraser
Fraser was on the bench as an unused substitute while Watt drilled in that already legendary winner against Barcelona in the Champions League.

And although he is yet to make his own SPL debut for the champions, Fraser continues to regard Watt as the perfect example for him to follow.

"It was a great experience being on the bench against Barcelona," Fraser told the Glasgow Evening Times. "Everyone was buzzing. We beat the best team in the world and, hopefully, we can reach the last 16.

"As soon as I saw Tony running through on goal I knew the ball would end up in the back of the net," he continued. "I was delighted for him. He has shown what young players can achieve. You just need to be patient and when the chance comes, I'm going to be ready."

Eighteen-year-old Fraser was also hoping to make his Scotland Under-21 debut in tonight's friendly against Portugal.
