Celtic aiming to top Dons

Celtic can reclaim top spot in the table with victory at Aberdeen in their Saturday midday kick-off.

"Our league form recently hasn't been great but that's not a major concern for me" - Neil Lennon
But the visitors are without leading scorer Gary Hooper because of injury while Thomas Rogne, Emilio Izaguirre and James Forrest are similarly sidelined.

There are also current doubts over midfielders Scott Brown and Joe Ledley but striker Lassad Nouioui returns.

The Hoops currently trail leaders Hibernian by a couple of points with still a game in hand. Hibs visit bottom club Dundee later in the day.

"It's an important game for us," Celtic boss Neil Lennon admitted to BBC Scotland. "Our league form recently hasn't been great but that's not a major concern for me. I'm sure there will be a really good crowd at Pittodrie. It will be a great atmosphere.

"Aberdeen have recruited well over the summer and have found consistency this season," he added. "Craig Brown is very shrewd and has great experience."

The Dons are missing Stephen Hughes, Ryan Jack, Gary Naysmith and Rob Milsom while Gavin Rae is struggling to overcome a knock. Winger Ryan Fraser should recover from a minor injury in time.
