'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ledley delighted at weekend response

Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley was delighted following their 3-1 weekend victory at Kilmarnock.

"We have tried to come back from European games and play as well in the league as we have in the Champions League" - Joe Ledley
The Hoops extended their current advantage at the top of the table courtesy of goals from skipper Scott Brown, Georgios Samaras and Ledley himself.

And the Welsh international was hoping it means his colleagues have finally consigned their recent dips in performances following their European exploits firmly to the past.

"I thought we played some great football at times in both the first and second half," Ledley told Celtic's official website. "We played well as a team and got a good result.

"It has been frustrating for us," he continued. "We have tried to come back from European games and play as well in the league as we have in
the Champions League, and it has been difficult in terms of the travelling and fitness as you are worn out after those games."
