Lennon keen to maintain momentum

Manager Neil Lennon expects Celtic to keep the momentum built from their Champions League exploits going into their Scottish Cup fourth round replay at Arbroath on Wednesday evening.

"We will have to adapt to the conditions as best we can and play accordingly" - Neil Lennon
The winners of that tie at Gayfield Park travel to Raith Rovers in the next round. The Hoops were surprisingly held 1-1 by their second division opponents in the first game at Celtic Park earlier this month.

"You want to keep that feel-good factor going," Lennon told BBC Scotland. "But the attitude has to be right. We will have to adapt to the conditions as best we can and play accordingly."

Striker Gary Hooper was expected to travel with the rest of the squad to Arbroath despite being laid low with a virus for a few days.

Lennon felt that his side were unfortunate in the first game ten days ago after their visitors snatched a late equaliser.

"We just didn't have the rub of the green," he added. "I felt we created a lot of chances, but we just didn't maximise them. That's what the Cup does sometimes."
