Celtic manager Neil Lennon was calling for a definite improvement in home form ahead of the arrival of lowly St Mirren this weekend.

"I think they're one of the better teams in the division to watch and they're dangerous" - Neil Lennon
The Hoops are still without the services of forward Kris Commons due to a leg injury while midweek goalscorer Adam Matthews should recover from a hamstring problem in time to feature.

Elsewhere, Paddy McCourt, Thomas Rogne and Tony Watt are also back in training for the champions, who currently enjoy a three-point lead at the top of the table.

"St Mirren are a good model for a lot of SPL clubs. I think they're good to watch," Lennon told BBC Scotland. "I think they're one of the better teams in the division to watch and they're dangerous.

"We will take the game as seriously as any other game and, obviously, I want to improve our home form now," he added. "It's something we need to remedy. Our away form's been fantastic. We have to start playing better at home."

The Buddies are without suspended defender Lee Mair while Darren McGregor is already ruled out for the rest of the season.

FC Astana 4 Celtic 3 (AGG 4-8)

Celtic moved into the Champions League group stage despite a 4-3 qualifying play-off second-leg defeat at FC Astana.

The Hoops already carried a resounding 5-0 advantage from the opening game, but it was suddenly reduced when Dimitri Shomko's 26th minute effort was deflected into his own net by Kristoffer Ajer.

However, Scott Sinclair soon curled a superb reply, although Serikzhan Muzhikov and Patrick Twumasi both struck during a two-minute spell early in the second-half.
