Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley has said it's important not to get too frustrated by their inconsistent domestic form at Parkhead.

"We just need to be patient and we will have the fans behind us" - Joe Ledley
The Hoops have already lost out to the likes of Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Kilmarnock and been held by second division Arbroath in the Scottish Cup in front of their own supporters this season, despite still enjoying a clear lead at the top of the division.

"It has been difficult at times as we get frustrated with ourselves," Ledley told Celtic's official website. "Other teams sit back while we try to attack and break them down and sometimes they have caught us on the counter-attack.

"But we just need to be patient and we will have the fans behind us," he added. "We need to go out on attack and when that first one goes in hopefully we can continue scoring and get some more."

Rodgers impressed with depth

Manager Brendan Rodgers said the latest victory against Dundee in the Scottish League Cup served to highlight the depth of his available squad.

Dundee 0 Celtic 4

Holders Celtic moved into the Scottish League Cup semi-finals with a 4-0 victory against Dundee at Dens Park.

The always lively Scott Sinclair's penalty earned them a first-half lead improved by James Forrest just prior to the break.

However, the Hoops were forced to wait until very late in the contest before substitute Callum McGregor and Forrest (again) added further goals.

Defender Dedryck Boyata was passed fit to play following a knee injury that had ruled him out so far
