Celtic manager Neil Lennon is considering the claims of teenage Dutch winger Kenji Gorre following a recent trial.

"I knew what has happening so it wasn't nervy for me" - Neil Lennon
The eighteen-year-old son of current Scotland U17s coach Dean Gorre was recently released by Manchester United despite being regarded as something of a special talent, so much so that Chelsea tried to entice him to Stamford Bridge when just fifteen years of age.

Meanwhile, Lennon was hoping to complete the paperwork for the loan signing of Trelleborgs goalkeeper Viktor Noring after visiting Glasgow for talks on deadline day.

A satisfied Lennon was pleased overall with his transfer dealings, even though missing out with a late loan move for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle for the rest of the season.

More crucially there were no significant departures from Parkhead in the aftermath of several refused bids from Norwich City for leading scorer Gary Hooper, including a substantial late one.

"I am delighted that we have kept all our main players," Lennon told BBC Scotland. "We have added Tom Rogic, Rami Gershon and hopefully Viktor - we are just waiting on the paperwork coming through - so it has been a decent window for us.

"There was another bid in yesterday. I am not going to go into the figures but it was substantial," he continued. "We made our position clear and we stuck to that. I knew what has happening so it wasn't nervy for me.

"I wanted him [Doyle] to come in and play with Gary but Wolves were firm on that as we were regarding Gary," Lennon added. "Kevin knows what the club is about but he is pretty committed with Wolves for the foreseeable future and we respect that."

Both Neymar and Edinson Cavani scored twice for the hosts after Moussa Dembele had given their visitors a shock first-minute lead.

Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti and Dani Alves were similarly on target as the French side secured their biggest-ever Champions League win.

The only consolation for Celtic was that Anderlecht were defeated 2-1 by Bayern
