Lennon targets rematch

Celtic manager Neil Lennon hailed an improved performance as the SPL champions eased through to the Scottish Cup quarter-finals with a solid 3-0 victory at Raith Rovers.

"We're in the next round and I hope we get St Mirren" - Neil Lennon
All three goals came after the break with a 56th minute Kris Commons penalty and late strikes from substitute James Forrest and Charlie Mulgrew on a heavy, unforgiving pitch at Stark's Park.

"Our back four had a lot better focus than last week," Lennon told BBC Scotland. "Our approach to the game was excellent. We just felt once we got the first goal, the game would open up and that's exactly what it did."

Meanwhile, Lennon said he would certainly welcome the chance to take on St Mirren in the last eight of the competition after recently been knocked out of the Scottish Communities League Cup at the semi-final stage by the Paisley outfit.

"We're in the next round and I hope we get St Mirren," he added. "I'm looking forward to it if we do."
