We can match anyone - Lennon

Manager Neil Lennon says Celtic are up for the challenge of facing Italian Serie 'A' leaders Juventus in the Champions League at Parkhead this evening.

"We've proved already this season that we can be a match for anyone" - Neil Lennon
And while Lennon openly admits he is expecting a tough encounter against confident opponents who warmed up for the contest with a 2-0 victory against Fiorentina at the weekend, he stressed Celtic can certainly beat any side in the world on their day - as they famously displayed against tournament favourites Barcelona back in November.

"Juventus have excellent strikers - Vucinic, Quagliarelli, Giovinco - while they'll also brought in Nicolas Anelka," Lennon told Celtic's official website. "But the player who has caught my eye recently has been Alessandro Matri. He looks an excellent young player.

"And they're very strong in midfield. Arturo Vidal is playing very well just now, Pogba and Marchisio are class players and, of course, they have Andrea Pirlo," he continued. "But it would be dangerous to underestimate Celtic. We've proved already this season that we can be a match for anyone."
