Celtic skipper Scott Brown is to visit a specialist over an abductor injury.

"Scott will be seeing a specialist regarding his abductor and we will wait on the outcome of that" - Neil Lennon
Brown missed the weekend 6-2 hammering of Dundee United and has already been declared unavailable for tomorrow night's trip to St Johnstone.

The 27-year-old has previously been troubled by an ongoing hip problem which was originally believed to require an operation.

However, both issues are now to be addressed and Brown may still undergo surgery before the end of the campaign.

"Scott will be seeing a specialist regarding his abductor and we will wait on the outcome of that," manager Neil Lennon told Sky Sports. "We will have a look at what he had before and he might require surgery, we are not sure yet, we will see what the specialist says but hopefully that won't be the case."

Dundee 0 Celtic 4

Holders Celtic moved into the Scottish League Cup semi-finals with a 4-0 victory against Dundee at Dens Park.

The always lively Scott Sinclair's penalty earned them a first-half lead improved by James Forrest just prior to the break.

However, the Hoops were forced to wait until very late in the contest before substitute Callum McGregor and Forrest (again) added further goals.
