Celtic defender Efe Ambrose says he is flattered by recent reports linking him with a possible move to Liverpool.

"The English league is the best but I am happy at Celtic" - Efe Ambrose
The 24-year-old Nigerian international is also understood to be currently being monitored by both Sunderland and Swansea City after recently helping his nation win the African Cup of Nations.

"I am happy to be linked with a club like Liverpool, " Ambrose commented in The Scotsman. "My dream is to play across the border. The English league is the best but I am happy at Celtic."

Ambrose has already made 28 appearances since joining the SPL champions last summer and has scored in the last couple of them.
