Celtic striker Georgios Samaras insists he won't be leaving the SPL champions this summer.

"I have one more year of my contract and hopefully I will be here next season" - Georgios Samaras
The 28-year-old marksman still has a year remaining on his current deal and is keen to discuss an extension sometime in the future.

Greek international Samaras scored a dozen times in 38 appearances for Celtic last season - with five of those in the Champions League.

"I have one more year of my contract and hopefully I will be here next season," Samaras told SkySports. "Six years is a lot but it has gone so fast and when you feel good at the club, people are looking after you and you feel you are part of a big family, I cannot see a reason to leave.

"But it is too soon to speak about a contract," he added. "When they are ready and I am ready then we will have a chat."

Rodgers impressed with depth

Manager Brendan Rodgers said the latest victory against Dundee in the Scottish League Cup served to highlight the depth of his available squad.

Dundee 0 Celtic 4

Holders Celtic moved into the Scottish League Cup semi-finals with a 4-0 victory against Dundee at Dens Park.

The always lively Scott Sinclair's penalty earned them a first-half lead improved by James Forrest just prior to the break.

However, the Hoops were forced to wait until very late in the contest before substitute Callum McGregor and Forrest (again) added further goals.

Defender Dedryck Boyata was passed fit to play following a knee injury that had ruled him out so far
