Celtic striker Georgios Samaras insists he won't be leaving the SPL champions this summer.

"I have one more year of my contract and hopefully I will be here next season" - Georgios Samaras
The 28-year-old marksman still has a year remaining on his current deal and is keen to discuss an extension sometime in the future.

Greek international Samaras scored a dozen times in 38 appearances for Celtic last season - with five of those in the Champions League.

"I have one more year of my contract and hopefully I will be here next season," Samaras told SkySports. "Six years is a lot but it has gone so fast and when you feel good at the club, people are looking after you and you feel you are part of a big family, I cannot see a reason to leave.

"But it is too soon to speak about a contract," he added. "When they are ready and I am ready then we will have a chat."

Big Sammy has been a good find. His incnsistnencies have been the most consistent thing about him. But when he is on, he is on! He epitomises what being a Tim is all about. Hail Hail Georgios, you are wanted in Paradise.
