English Premier League newcomers Hull City have submitted a £4m offer for Celtic's leading scorer Gary Hooper, according to reports.

Tigers boss Steve Bruce is keen to land the 25-year-old who scored 31 goals for the Scottish champions last season.

However, Celtic already turned down a number of offers for the former Scunthorpe United marksman from Norwich City in Janaury.

Their Premier League rivals Southampton had also been regularly linked while under the leadership of ex-Iron manager Nigel Adkins, who has since renewed his interest in the player at new club Reading.

Hooper still has a year remaining on his current deal at Celtic Park but has so far failed to sign an extension on that.

Defender Mikael Lustig scored twice before the break but former striker Anthony Stokes reduced the deficit from a penalty around the hour-mark.

However, substitute Moussa Dembele then made it 3-1 - and went on to add a late second after Hibs' Oliver Shaw had already replied.
