Tigers bid for Hooper

English Premier League newcomers Hull City have submitted a 4m offer for Celtic's leading scorer Gary Hooper, according to reports.

Tigers boss Steve Bruce is keen to land the 25-year-old who scored 31 goals for the Scottish champions last season.

However, Celtic already turned down a number of offers for the former Scunthorpe United marksman from Norwich City in Janaury.

Their Premier League rivals Southampton had also been regularly linked while under the leadership of ex-Iron manager Nigel Adkins, who has since renewed his interest in the player at new club Reading.

Hooper still has a year remaining on his current deal at Celtic Park but has so far failed to sign an extension on that.
