Celtic have completed the signing of Portuguese striker Amido Balde on a four-year deal.

"There are no words I can say to describe what it means for me to play for Celtic" - Amido Balde
Balde, 22, has agreed on a dream move to the Scottish champions after scoring nine times in 27 appearances for Vitoria Guimaraes last season.

"I am very happy to sign my contract with Celtic," he told Celtic's official website. "I'm proud to sign for Celtic and want to do everything I can to take this opportunity.

"I fell in love with the club three years ago and then watched every game on TV," Balde continued. "When I saw the Barcelona game last year it was crazy and I loved the crowd. There are no words I can say to describe what it means for me to play for Celtic."

The 6'4" striker only joined Vitoria last summer following his release by Sporting Lisbon, while also having loan spells with Portuguese side Santa Clara, Badajoz in Spain and Belgian outfit Cercle Brugge.
