Celtic opened their Turkish Airlines Antalya Cup campaign with a 3-1 victory over Trabzonspor

Strikers Teemu Pukki and Amido Balde were both on target either side of a Sol Bamba own-goal, with Emre Gural replying just before the break.

Emilio Izaguirre and Derk Boerrigter both saw early efforts for the Scottish champions while Virgil van Dijk's fierce deflected effort forced a sharp response from goalkeeper Zeki Ayvas.

Both Balde and Scott Brown also went close until Pukki finished into the corner just past the half-hour mark. Izaguirre's cross was then deflected in by Bamba to double the lead just five minutes later.

However, Gura seized on a loose ball to pull a goal back prior to the break, although substitute Kris Commons twice threatened after the interval and Pukki and Joe Ledley also tried their luck.

Balde then strode forward to flash a superb 57th minute drive into the top corner and restore a two-goal advantage as his side progressed to a well-deserved win.
