Celtic full-back Adam Matthews insists the league leaders must be at their absolute best when entertaining Motherwell this weekend.

"We know it's going to be tough as everyone will want to beat us and stop our record" - Adam Matthews
That is despite them hammering the same opposition 5-0 at Fir Park only last month. Since then the Lanarkshire club have responded with six straight victories.

"We played well against Motherwell last time and it will be brilliant if we could replicate that," Matthews told the Celtic View', reports Celtic's official website. "But we know it will be tough and we must be on our A-game and try and play our best football."

The Hoops are still unbeaten this season in the league and Matthews is determined to keep their unblemished record going for as long as they can.

"The plan is to keep it going as long as possible," he added. "We know it's going to be tough as everyone will want to beat us and stop our record. It's just important that now we are back that we keep going the way we were before the break."
