Manager Neil Lennon was full of praise for his Celtic side following their 3-0 home victory against Motherwell.

"That's the best we've played at home in the league this season" - Neil Lennon
Kris Commons' brace and a Stephen McManus own-goal helped to end the visitors recent excellent run despite Anthony Stokes later being sent-off - a decision Lennon regarded as "harsh".

"That's the best we've played at home in the league this season," Lennon told BBC Scotland. "Coming off the back of the break, I was worried they might be a bit rusty, but the first-half performance was fantastic.

"I've got to give credit to Motherwell. They made a game of it," he admitted. "They were positive and it made the afternoon an entertaining game to watch, the supporters were fantastic and it was a great crowd today. All round, it's been a very good day."

Both Neymar and Edinson Cavani scored twice for the hosts after Moussa Dembele had given their visitors a shock first-minute lead.

Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti and Dani Alves were similarly on target as the French side secured their biggest-ever Champions League win.
