Celtic bid to extend lead

Runaway leaders Celtic travel to Kilmarnock for their latest game this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

"It would be nice to give them a little bit of experience if we can" - Neil Lennon
Both midfielder Nir Biton and winger James Forrest have been ruled out with groin injuries, while Dutch centre-back Virgil van Dijk serves a one-game suspension after an appeal against his recent sending-off versus Aberdeen was withdrawn.

The visitors hope that striker Anthony Stokes recovers from a slight knock as they look to move a massive twenty-eight points clear of the rest.

"We won comfortably on our last visit to Rugby Park but Kilmarnock played very well in the first half," manager Neil Lennon told BBC Scotland. "They had a good win at the weekend and they have goals in them.

"There are a few youngster who have been on the periphery of the team this season and it would be nice to give them a little bit of experience if we can," he added. "Because the team has been going so well it's been difficult but they will get a chance later on."

Kilmarnock can't include on loan Celtic man Jackson Irvine but Sean Clohessy has recovered from ankle trouble. However, fellow defender Darren Barr and midfielder Sammy Clingan remain out.
