Celtic assistant manager Johan Mjallby is to leave the Scottish Champions at the end of the season.

"The club has been part of my life for almost two decades" - Johan Mjallby
The Swede is seeking "different opportunities" after being assistant to Neil Lennon at Parkhead since 2010.

Prior to that defender Mjallby won 49 international caps and three Scottish Premier League titles as a player with Celtic.

"I have enormous affection for Celtic Football Club and it is with sadness that the time to leave has arrived," Mjallby told Celtic's official website. "The club has been part of my life for almost two decades and I have been dedicated to them in every way, first of all as a player and then in management.

"As a player, I had the privilege to work with football people and players who were first-class and real quality. We had some great moments and memories I will always cherish," he added. "It was an honour to return and work in management and we have worked hard over the last few years to once again bring the Club success."

Celtic are to immediately begin the process of finding a replacement for the 43-year-old who also served both AIK and Levante.
