Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill wouldn't stand in the way of assistant Roy Keane should he receive an offer from Celtic or any other club.

"I have often said to you that he will be a manager" - Martin O'Neill
Keane, 42, has already found himself under increased media spotlight following the departure of Neil Lennon from Parkhead earlier this week.

"Naturally, having brought him in, I'd be disappointed if it went through that he's gone," O'Neill told BBC Scotland. "But I wouldn't really be standing in his way in that sense.

"I would say that he would make a good manager, I have always said this about Roy Keane," he added. "He has this opportunity to come with me as my assistant here at this moment, but I have often said to you that he will be a manager, he will be a manager."
