Celtic's new boss Ronny Deila could return to former club Stromsgodset for goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey.

The 6ft 3ins Ghanaian has already turned down latest offers from the Norwegian outfit and may be on his way to Scotland. The 26-year-old was originally signed by Deila from Valerenga back in 2010.

Oslo-born Kwarasey skippered Stromsgodset to the league title last season and is set to be involved as the World Cup starts this week.

Celtic keeper Fraser Forster is also in Brazil but regularly linked with a move to the English Premier League, while former Hearts shot-stopper Craig Gordon has reportedly already passed a medical with the Hoops, although no deal has yet been finalised.

FC Astana 4 Celtic 3 (AGG 4-8)

Celtic moved into the Champions League group stage despite a 4-3 qualifying play-off second-leg defeat at FC Astana.

The Hoops already carried a resounding 5-0 advantage from the opening game, but it was suddenly reduced when Dimitri Shomko's 26th minute effort was deflected into his own net by Kristoffer Ajer.

However, Scott Sinclair soon curled a superb reply, although Serikzhan Muzhikov and Patrick Twumasi both struck during a two-minute spell early in the second-half.
