Striker Tony Watt wants a chance to impress following his return to Celtic.

"Hopefully, with a good pre-season under my belt, I can get into the team" - Tony Watt
The 20-year-old marksman is back from
a recent loan spell at Belgian side Lierse and hoping to impress new Celtic chief Ronny Deila, who ironically tried to sign him three months ago while in charge of Stromsgodset. But a possible short-term deal fell through.

"It was a move I was interested in to keep me playing football before I returned to Celtic," Watt told the Daily Mail. "I want to go back to Celtic and play for the team. I've supported them since I was a wee boy. I want to score goals and make my contribution towards us being even more successful in the future.

"I just want a run of the games. In my first spell, I don't think I started more than three on the bounce," he added. "Hopefully, with a good pre-season under my belt, I can get into the team for the Champions League qualifiers and get at least seven or eight starts in a row. It's up to me to show the new manager my worth."
