New manager Ronny Deila is already considering potential new signings and squad improvement at Celtic.

"It is very important for me that I know exactly what was happening on the pitch last season" - Ronny Deila
The Norwegian has been busily studying prospective targets and spending countless hours on the phone in preparation for the forthcoming season.

"I spent a lot of my time in Norway over the weekend speaking to a lot of people," Deila told the Daily Record. "You have to get to know your staff and you have to get to know your players so I have spoken with some of them.

"I have also spent time watching the DVDs of Celtic because it is very important for me that I know exactly what was happening on the pitch last season," he continued. "That gives me a better idea and a feeling for what was good in the team, what can be improved upon in the future and what direction I now want to take the squad."
