Celtic have completed the signing of Scottish international goalkeeper Craig Gordon on a two-year deal - and with the option of a third.

"I would love to play for Scotland again, but I need to get back playing regular first-team games" - Craig Gordon
The 31-year-old returns from a two-year absence from football due to a knee
injury having already been capped 40 times by his country. He immediately
joins Celtic's pre-season training camp in Austria.

Gordon originally made his name at
Hearts before a 9m move took him to Sunderland. He twice broke his arm whilst there and was recovering from a knee injury when being released in July 2012. He has since spent time strenuously working with physiotherapists on his fitness.

"I feel good, I feel ready to play. I want to play games. I hopefully still have a long career ahead," Gordon told BBC Scotland. "For me to be here at all is an achievement in itself so I want to make the most of it.

"It's been a long hard slog to get to this point, but it is a new challenge and a new beginning for me here at Celtic," he added. "I would love to play for Scotland again, but I need to get back playing regular first-team games."
