Celtic began Ronny Deila's reign with a 3-1 friendly success against Russian opponents FK Krasnodar in Austria.

Anthony Stokes immediately opened the scoring when chipping over the goalkeeper after just 70 seconds but Odil Akhmedov levelled seventeen minutes later.

However, Celtic then struck either side of the break through Stefan Johansen and Callum McGregor to complete the victory.

Deila had actually made wholesale changes at the interval with Leo Fasan, Adam Matthews, Eoghan O'Connell, Calum Waters, Stuart Findlay, Beram Kayal, Liam Henderson, Teemu Pukki, Leigh Griffiths, Bahrudin Atajic and McGregor all entering the action.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has called for his Celtic players to keep making history.

Holders Celtic avoided a second-half comeback from Hibernian to move into another Scottish League Cup final with a 4-2 victory at Hampden Park.

Defender Mikael Lustig scored twice before the break but former striker Anthony Stokes reduced the deficit from a penalty around the hour-mark.

However, substitute Moussa Dembele then made it 3-1 - and went on to add a late second after Hibs' Oliver Shaw had already replied.
