Celtic earned a 1-1 draw with Dynamo Dresden in their latest pre-season game in Germany.

The visitors handed a debut to new goalkeeper Craig Gordon, although it was Kris Commons soon giving them an early lead following good work between Teemu Pukki and Callum McGregor.

But after making multiple-changes at the break, Celtic were pegged back midway through the second period by Sylvano Calvanious.

Pukki had already produced an early save from Benjamin Kirsten, whose opposite number Gordon fended away from Marvin Stefaniak, by the time Commons struck on eight minutes.

It continued to be an open contest with Sinan Tekerci spurning a decent opportunity for the Germans and Adam Matthews clearing well.

Beram Kayal and Pukki forced keeper action in reply, while the hosts had a number of chances they failed to take just prior to the break.

Celtic's substitute keeper Lukasz Zaluska denied Stefaniak upon the restart before Calvanious bundled in a 68th minute equaliser.

Dresden's Tekerci later clipped the woodwork with a first-time effort - but their opponents' attention now switches to Tuesday's vital Champions League second-leg clash with KR Reykjavik.
