Not good enough - Deila

Manager Ronny Deila conceded Celtic as "not good enough" following their Champions League exit to Maribor.

"In the end there's only one thing to say - we have not been good enough" - Ronny Deila
Marcos Tavares took advantage of poor defending to grab a 75th minute winner and send the Hoops tumbling into the Europa League - although Deila believes the majority of problems to be elsewhere.

"We did not lose because of the defending, we lost because we did not create anything," he told BBC Scotland. "We hope we can stand in the same position next year with a whole other feeling than I have right now.

"In the end there's only one thing to say - we have not been good enough, and we have not deserved to go to the Champions League," Deila continued. "Of course it is disappointing. It's a hard feeling. And this feeling I have to take with me, the players, the staff and the whole club and start working."

We asked for this. We hire a low budget manager who has yet to blame his mangerial skills for anything. This is the lowest Celtic have been in years. First he sends half a team to Inverness to disrespect Caley and gets exactly what he deserved. Then saying he did it all to save the path to the Champions League, embarrassed Celtic and every fan out there by being humiliated again. Deila has been an awful selection. His constant passing the buck, blaming players, his players mind you, benching Commons, Scotlands top scorer last year, just when we require goals, is shameful. Just when we should be opening a bigger gap from all comers, this clown acts like he is from the other side! He has to go before its too late and we don't even qualify for the CL playoffs next season. We still have tome if we get in Malky or Davie now. But this waste of a parking space must be shown the door before we endure further shame.

The game ended almost seven hours ago. Why does Deila still have a job with us?

Paris St-Germain 7 Celtic 1

Celtic were handed a second heavy drubbing by Paris St-Germain in their Champions League Group B encounter at Parc des Princes.

Both Neymar and Edinson Cavani scored twice for the hosts after Moussa Dembele had given their visitors a shock first-minute lead.

Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti and Dani Alves were similarly on target as the French side secured their biggest-ever Champions League win.

The only consolation for Celtic was that Anderlecht were defeated 2-1 by Bayern
