Celtic manager Ronny Deila has called for time to get it right at Parkhead.

"In one year I think it is right for the fans and everybody to judge me" - Ronny Deila
Deila admits he needs to rebuild the team in order to make an impression in the Champions League and asked supporters to begin to judge his performance in twelve months.

"We have to build a team again who can go into the Champions League next year and you can think we have a big chance there," he told BBC Scotland. "This year we didn't have that team. It's not just a case of buying a player and putting him into the team, because they might have not played, are not fit or don't know our style of play.

"In one year I think it is right for the fans and everybody to judge me," Deila added. "If we don't win the league, we don't have anything to do with the Champions League then then they can say to me, 'Hey what a bad job'. And I will take it no problem."

Whatever happens going forward this guy cannot be kept on. This is an even worse manager than John Barnes and Tony Mowbray. Just when we are trying to coax decent players this idiot publicly claims "we are not a good team" "we are not good enough to be in the Champions League" Motivational speeches are not his forte that's for sure. He was the cheap option and none of the players respect him. This is obvious. He even now admits he signed a player he never even saw or met. Send him to work with anyone else but not here.

Celtic 4 Aberdeen 1

Celtic surged to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 4-1 victory against Aberdeen at Celtic Park.

Leigh Griffiths' early opener was soon cancelled out by Adam Rooney, but James Forrest restored the home advantage ahead of the break.

However, the champions were forced to wait until the closing stages when Scott Sinclair converted an 87th minute penalty after Mark Reynolds was sent-off.

Midfielder Tom Rogic then curled a delightful free-kick in the final minute.
