Celtic sweep the board at awards

Treble-chasing Celtic unsurprisingly completed a clean sweep of awards on Sunday evening.

Scott Sinclair was crowned as PFA Scotland's player of the year following 25 goals in his first season at the club.

He beat team-mates Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong in addition to Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes.

Meanwhile, Hoops left-back Kieran Tierney was named as young player of the year and boss Brendan Rodgers took the managerial accolade

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here," Rodgers told BBC Scotland. "I have obviously been fortunate to have really good experiences and I was fortunate enough to win a similar award down in the Premier League in England, and that was very satisfying.

"And likewise here. It's a prestigious award and you only need to look at the people who have won it before me and the great history of Scottish coaches. I received it with great pride."

Striker Dembele made it four awards on the night when his third goal in the 5-2 win over St Johnstone in February was voted goal of the season.
