United consider Celtic ace

Manchester United are stepping up their interest in Celtic's highly-rated Kieran Tierney, according to reports.

Manager Jose Mourinho is considering a £15m swoop for the highly-rated 20-year-old attacking left-back after remaining unconvinced by his own current options.

The English Premier League side apparently watched the player in action during last week's 2-2 draw between Scotland and England at Hampden Park.

"I just need to concentrate on what I'm doing in training and playing well for Celtic," Tierney previously reacted to ongoing speculation, reports the Daily Star. "It's easy for me because I'm happy where I am.

"I'm not thinking about anything else other than Celtic and just doing what I can for the team and helping us win every game."

Tierney originally progressed through the youth ranks at Celtic and scored three goals in forty games while helping them towards a glorious treble last season.

The Hoops will be keen to hold onto one of their brightest prospects, but other leading Premier League clubs are similarly watching the situation.
