Celtic v Hearts

Celtic v Hearts

Celtic begin the defence of their title by hosting Hearts in the opening game of the season early on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 12.30pm).

The champions are without Danish centre-back Erik Sviatchenko after suffering a knee ligament injury against Rosenborg in midweek. He's likely to remain out for around six weeks.

Fellow defender Dedryck Boyata (knee) was already missing along with striker Moussa Dembele (hamstring).

Hearts have former Dundee United and Rangers striker Jon Daly serving as interim boss following the dismissal of Ian Cathro.

He's without suspended full-back Liam Smith, while forward Jamie Walker is left out after recent transfer interest from Rangers.

But Ashley Smith-Brown and Connor Randall could feature having arrived on season-long loans.
