Midfielder remains patient
Midfielder Callum McGregor hopes his continuing impressive form with Celtic will help propel him towards the full Scotland squad.
The 24-year-old has remained overlooked by Scots boss Gordon Strachan for their two latest World Cup qualifying victories against Lithuania and Malta, but is perfectly satisfied to await his opportunity.
"It's been a great start but again, for me, I'm just looking at this next big month, a lot of big games coming up," McGregor told BBC Scotland. "I just want to do well. I've had a lot of big games under my belt: Champions League, Europa League and big cup games. I feel like I'm ready.
"If I get that call [for the national side] then great," he added. "If Gordon feels that I'm not ready yet then that's fine, I'll keep playing and trying to do well."
