Winger set for Celtic move
Celtic are expected to complete the signing of St Mirren winger Lewis Morgan next week.
The Scotland Under-21 international would cost the champions around £300,000 but then immediately return to Paisley on loan for the rest of the season.
Morgan, 21, was also of interest to a number of other clubs and is out of contract at St Mirren Park in the summer.
"Lewis could have allowed his contract to run down," Saints manager Jack Ross told BBC Scotland. "But he's handled [the situation] very well, and when he gets the opportunity to progress his career he's more than capable of dealing with it.
"Unless something really dramatic changes, that will remain the situation [that he stays at St Mirren on loan this season]," he added. "It was always a prerequisite that he come back and play for us, and Lewis has been quite strong on that as well because he's grateful to St Mirren for giving him the opportunity after he left Rangers."
