Celtic sweep to easy win

Celtic moved into the Champions League third qualifying round with a comfortable 4-0 second-leg victory against KR Reykjavik at Murrayfield.

Defender Virgil van Dijk and striker Teemu Pukki each helped themselves to a brace for an easy 5-0 aggregate triumph.

Both Pukki and Leigh Griffiths forced goalkeeper Stefan Magnusson into early action, until van Dijk turned in after Charlie Mulgrew headed back Kris Commons' twelfth-minute corner.

Former Celtic man Kjartan Finnbogasson then headed over in reply and Jonas Saversson also found the side-netting.

However, the Scots soon doubled their lead with another Commons corner eventually being nodded in by Dutchman van Dijk for his second of the evening.

Seven minutes later Pukki slotted in first-leg match-winner Callum McGregor's cross for a third goal.

Goalscorer Pukki soon lashed another opportunity wide while Commons twice challenged the capabilities of Magnusson after the break.

But a costly slip from the keeper outside his area allowed Pukki in for a fourth goal on 71 minutes.

Commons continued to threaten but it was a comprehensive victory for Celtic and they next face either St Patrick's Athletic or Legia Warsaw.
