Paris St-Germain 7 Celtic 1
Parc des Princes
Wed 22nd Nov
Celtic were handed a second heavy drubbing by Paris St-Germain in their Champions League Group B encounter at Parc des Princes.
Both Neymar and Edinson Cavani scored twice for the hosts after Moussa Dembele had given their visitors a shock first-minute lead.
Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti and Dani Alves were similarly on target as the French side secured their biggest-ever Champions League win.
The only consolation for Celtic was that Anderlecht were defeated 2-1 by Bayern Munich, leaving them still third in the group and seemingly favourites for a Europa League spot.
Dembele had actually become the first player to score against PSG in the Champions League this season, instantly drilling in Olivier Ntcham's low corner despite goalkeeper Alphonse Areola getting a hand to it.
However, Neymar soon finished across goal to equalise before expertly doubling his tally midway through the opening half.
The Brazilian then headed back across for Cavani to cushion in a third, while Mbappe took advantage when a free-kick wasn't cleared ten minutes before the interval.
The Hoops at least managed to restrict their opponents for half-an-hour of the second-half, until conceding three times during a five-minute spell.
First Verratti drove into the far corner before Cavani's fine volley and Alves' strike from outside the area arrived within sixty seconds of each other.
