Attendance: 9,164

Substitute Scott Sinclair scored a late equaliser to preserve Celtic's record unbeaten domestic run in a 1-1 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park.

The Hoops had fallen into arrears when Mikael Lustig diverted Craig Tanner's free-kick into his own net with only twelve minutes remaining.

But Callum McGregor went down inside the area under the challenge of Andy Rose ten minutes later, and Sinclair levelled from the penalty spot.

Celtic's undefeated sequence now stretches to 66 games, with an accompanying four-point lead at the top of the table - and still a game in hand.

The visitors unfortunately lost the services of on loan winger Patrick Roberts due to an early injury and Tom Rogic was introduced from the bench.

Recalled striker Leigh Griffiths soon had an effort deflected behind while home keeper Trevor Carson denied McGregor, who then sent the rebound narrowly wide.

Substitute Rogic was later too high from the edge of the area and Carson superbly kept out Kieran Tierney prior to the interval.

Home keeper Carson also came to the rescue when McGregor again went close after the break, while Lewis Moult sent an overhead attempt clear of the bar at the other end.

Motherwell's Craig Tanner was also wayward with a header and McGregor flashed another drive wide for their visitors - before Lustig's own-goal suddenly had them behind.

But Celtic immediately rallied with Rogic striking the inside of a post and the ball rebounding straight into the arms of the grateful Carson.

However, McGregor then had a further effort saved while being challenged by substitute Rose inside the area - and Sinclair stepped up to convert the resultant penalty with just two minutes left.
