Partick Thistle 1 Celtic 2
Tue 23rd Jan 7.45pm
Celtic are eleven points clear at the top of the table after coming from behind for a 2-1 victory at neighbours Partick Thistle.
The Jags led at the break courtesy of Conor Sammon's penalty following Mikael Lustig pulling back Miles Storey inside the area.
But Scott Sinclair picked himself up to similarly convert when brought down early in the second period, before substitute Leigh Griffiths netted a 70th minute winner.
French striker Odsonne Edouard saw an early effort for the visitors taken by Tomas Cerney while Olivier Ntcham also struck wide from distance.
However, Craig Gordon reacted well to turn over from Storey at the other end, until both Edouard and Kieran Tierney had further attempts for the leaders.
But a mistake by Swedish defender Lustig, who initially surrendered possession and then promptly conceded a penalty, witnessed Sammon confirming an interval advantage for the home side.
Introduced from the bench upon the restart, Griffiths was soon denied by Cerny before Sinclair levelled from the spot having been taken down by Mustapha Dumbuya.
Both James Forrest and Callum McGregor drew further saves from Cerny, who also turned aside from Tierney ahead of skipper Scott Brown supplying Griffiths for the winner with twenty minutes remaining.
Goalscorer Griffiths could then have had another but for the recovering challenge of Thistle's on loan defender Baily Cargill.
